North of Beautiful is a girl's story of how she realizes she was truly beautiful.  She has this huge birhtmark on her face that she covers up with a lot of makeup.  ONe day when she meets this Goth boy, he tells her she's beautiful.  She stops wearing makeup and shows her birthmark, and she is proud.
