Does the St. Charles City-County Library District have a centralized collection of business print and non-print materials?

Yes. The Spencer Road Branch Library of the St. Charles City-County Library District is a regional branch library that specializes in providing business and non-profit information services. The business collection at the Spencer Road Branch Library is larger than any of the other branches in the St. Charles City-County Library District. The Information Resource Manager for Business Services and Public Management, Trevor Rees, oversees the business collection and the business research services that the Spencer Road Branch Library provides.

The collection includes materials on finance, management, business start-ups, investing, and other business related topics. The services that the Spencer Road Library provides in regards to business research include business start-up consulting, marketing list creation, demographic research, and financial research. No. The Information Resource Manager for Business Services and Public Management, Trevor Rees, is not an accountant or an attorney. Any question related to business advisement is referred to other professionals within the community. The Information Resource Manager for Business Services and Public Management restricts his time to answering business research related questions.

Do you need a library card to use the Business/Nonprofit databases that are on the St. Charles City-County Library District website?

Yes. The St. Charles City-County Library District subscribes to many databases for the informational uses of its patrons. In order to meet the subscription requirements of our vendors we do require a library card for the use of the subscribed database products. A library card can be obtained at any of our branch locations.
