Warning: This is an adult book, so it has a few [graphic] scenes. This book was great! The concept is simple; what if the gods of mythology (including obscure ones) faced off against the "gods" of technology and entertainment. The main character, a recently released convict named Shadow, is hired as a bodyguard to Mr. Wednesday, aka Odin. I would recommend this book to everyone, provided that they're old enough to cope with the [graphic] scenes.
I love this book, because it has real, relatable characters who inspire you with their triumphs, and occasionally mistakes. While they fight for their lives, against impossible odds, you are dragged deeper into the magic, and philosophy of the character's souls. This book is a great book for anyone who loves books such as Harry Potter, and for people who believe life is the best gift you will ever get.
I found this book interesting because it tells of a made-up life of cats, stating the animal's made-up terms for human objects. I thought it even more interesting how the author gave the cats human traits and added human-like scenarios into the story. The story itself is interesting it invovles four "clans"' trying to survive and fighting each other. It also involves dangerous cats that betray their clans & start battles. Overall, I thought the mix of made-up cats' lives and human characteristics & scenarios made for an interesting novel
If you love adventures, owls, and more then this is the book you want to read. I visit the world of owls to join Soren on loads of adventures. I love this book because for 1, I love owls and 2, I love adventures. To find out what happens read Guardians of Ga'Hoole book 1: The Capture.
I really liked this book. It was full of adventure, mystery, & suspense. When Harry Potter is late for his second year at Hogwarts, he knew Dobby, the house elf who had warned him not to attend Hogwarts again, was onto something. I'd recommend this book to anyone who is interested in witchcraft & wizardry. I didn't like the book so much when they explained the fight scene very detailed. JK Rowling really brings the wonder of Harry's adventuresin this book, the sequel to The Sorcerer's Stone.
I've loved Mull's writing style ever since the first Fablehaven book. In his new series, The Beyonders, the characters Jason and Rachel are relatable to most people, though I don't know anyone who's been swallowed by a hippo and taken to a different planet. I would hightly recommend this book to anyone who loves fantasy books or a humorous narrator. You won't be able to wait for the sequel coming out next Spring.
this is an awesome book! If you've seen the movie of the Lion, the witch, and the wardrobe then you will definately want to read this book. you will learn how Narnia came to be. You will also find out how the Lamp Post got in the woods, were the witch came from, who the Professor is, and what the wardrobe is made from. This is a must, must, must, must, must read book.
I enjoyed reading the Sea of Monsters because it was very suspenseful and action packed. I would recommend the Sea of Monsters to someone for its great persuasion in making the reader want to read more. I relate to Percy Jackson because we both have bravery and are strong willed. I await the reading of the next book, The Titan's Curse, for more suspense and action.

This book is a book about a 12-year-old boy named Percy Jackson. He finds out that he is the son of Poseidon, and his mom is taken away by Hades! He goes on a quest to get his mom with his two friends Grover, a satyr, and Annabeth, daughter of Athena. I love this book! And I recommend to everyone!
