This book was written sometime in the 1700's, however, the english is not that old timed. Candide is about a man name Candide and all of his misadventures through life. He presides in a providence in Germany under the rule of royalty, and this is where he falls in love with the fair Cunnengonde. Candide and Cunnengonde get together briefly one night, are caught, and Candide is kicked out of the beautiful land in Germany.

Emma is the story of a spirited but spoiled young lady who learns maturity through her mistakes and the guidance of her friend, Mr. Knightly. Emma Woodhouse believes herself to be an expert matchmaker, but is she as immune to love as she thinks? I really enjoyed reading this book as it is warm and at times, humerous. The characters are memorable and the plot of the story leaves you statisfied. It was not a book that I could "devour" as the reading was a little slow, but it was the perfect curl-up-with-hot-chocolate-rainy-day book.

Treasure Island

Treasure Island was a great book because it was filled with adventure and peril. In it Jim Hawkins - a boy like me - goes upon a voyage to treasure island to find a pirate captins treasure. But on the trip things don't go as planned . . .read the book to find out what happens.

Jane Eyre

Jane Eyre is a beautiful love story about a woman whose love is challenged at every step, but never broken.  Her witty quirkiness and high moral fiber overcome every obstacle standing between her and true love.  The story opens on young orphan, Jane Eyre, who is sent away by her unloved & unloveable secondary family to a boarding school where she prospers despite the harsh conditions.  She later becomes a governess for a young French girl, adopted by the rick Mr. Rochester.  Jane & Mr.

Anne of Windy Poplars

In this book we see Anne Shirley move to Summer Side and become principal of the Summerside High School.  Anne meets the Pringle family, at first Anne has trouble with the Pringle family, because the Pringle Family doesn't think she is the best person for the job as principal.  Anne has good times and she also struggles in this funfilled story.

Rinkitink in Oz

Rinkitink in Oz is one of my favorite L. Frank Baum Oz books.

It tells the story of king Rinkiting and his goat Bilbil, visiting Pingaree and meeting a book-lover Prince Inga, Bilbil and King Rinkiting rescued Pingareeans from marauders and won the battle.  There are a lot of danger, mystery, fantasy and adventure in this book.  I recommend to everyone reading this tenth of L. F. Baum Oz books.

The Magician's Nephew

this is an awesome book!  If you've seen the movie of the Lion, the witch, and the wardrobe then you will definately want to read this book.  you will learn how Narnia came to be.  You will also find out how the Lamp Post got in the woods, were the witch came from, who the Professor is, and what the wardrobe is made from.  This is a must, must, must, must, must read book.

Prince Caspian

Peter, Susan, Edmund, and Lucy all find themselves disappearing from a train in their world to a place which they figure out is Narnia, a land that they once ruled.  As they wonder along, they realize that they are in Narnia 100 years into the future.  They meet a dwarf that tells them the story of why he is here and what he is doing: Prince Caspian was a boy who ran away from his royal home and into the woods with his tutor Dr.

The Catcher in the Rye

Holden Caulfield is expelled from yet another boarding school on the criticism that he isn't "applying himself".  For desire to leave the school before Christmas break, and for fear his parents will be less understanding, Holden withdraws to the streets of New York City for an adventure... and a few surprises.  Read this book if you're looking for adventure, mystery, plot twists, and high quality details.  J.D. Salinger's book should not be missed.

Where the Red Fern Grows

I recommend this book, because it has all emotion, example: HAPPY, ANGRY, SAD, REGRET.  This book is about coon hunting, and both of dogs die eventually.  However, at the end, Billy's family got many money that they can go to town and between two hounds graveyard red fern grew.  I enjoyed this book, because it's adventure of little boy's huntering.  If I were Billy, would never deal with Rubin, because he always lies, and if Billy didn't make a deal, Rubin wouldn't die, because of accident.  I wouldn't go hunting, because I don't want to
